How Healed Do You Have to Be?
You have done the work. You have regulated, meditated, journaled, and healed. And still you find yourself exhausted inside the same systems. In this episode, Nina asks a gentler question: instead of what is wrong with me, try what am I calling success, and who decided that? This one is for every woman working hard to adapt to an environment that was never designed for her to thrive in. Sit with it. Pray about it if that is your thing. And be honest with yourself about what comes up.
Tired of recycled advice, surface-level hacks, and hustle culture that leaves you empty? Same. Welcome to Rewire and Rise with Nina Acosta, the podcast for women, leaders, and founders who've checked the boxes, built the success, but know there's still more. Here, nothing is off limits. We rip out the wiring that's kept you stuck, ditch the fake formulas, and get real about what actually changes everything in life and business. We mix soul with sass, science with spirit, and we don't forget the one who put that spirit in you. This is where you stop playing small, start thinking differently, and rise into bold, God-led leadership that feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside. Change your wiring, change your world. Let's go.
Welcome to Rewire and Rise. Let me ask you something. How healed do you have to be before you're allowed to question the environment you're trying to heal inside? I ask because so many of us have done the work, all of it. You regulated your nervous system. You changed your food. You moved your body. You meditated. You journaled. You read the books. You did the therapy. And when you still struggled, you asked yourself the same tired question: What's wrong with me?
Here's a better question: What am I living inside of? Because at some point, we send ourselves right back, back to the pace, back to the pressure, back to the expectations, back to systems we never stopped to question. And when we struggle again, we assume the problem is us. That's wild.
Think about it. If you planted a garden and it kept dying, at some point you'd stop blaming the flowers. You'd check the soil, the sunlight, the water. You are not the only variable in your life. You're a whole person living inside of systems, rhythms, expectations, and definitions of success you mostly inherited. You didn't design them. You may have never even questioned them.
So here's the question I want you to sit with this week. Instead of What's wrong with me? try asking, What am I calling success, and who decided that? Because if your definition of success is making you sick, tired, disconnected, or small, the answer isn't to heal faster so you can survive it. The answer might be to question the thing itself.
And no, this is not permission to quit growing. Healing matters. Responsibility matters. But you can be the healthiest plant in the room and still wither in the wrong soil.
So this week, where in your life are you working really hard to adapt to something that was never designed for you to thrive in? Pray on it. Journal it. Sit with it. Whatever your practice is. And be honest about what comes up.
If this met you where you are, send it to one friend who's been doing all the work and still feels exhausted. She might need permission to ask a better question.
You are not behind. You are not broken. You are becoming.
